For my online class, we are supposed to find four teacher websites
and analyze their characteristics and their posts about classroom
arrangement, structure, organization and activities. I chose the
following four websites.
1) The Resourceful Room

This website outlines a variety of
activities regarding a large amount of themes or ideas in the classroom
for second graders. It incorporates fun activities for the children and
easy set up for the teacher. Additionally, it uses part of the blog to
show the classroom arrangement and organization that can give any future
teacher ideas. The blog is easy to navigate and is fun in the ideas and
creativity. It also links to other blogs making finding ideas for the
specific topic you want easier which is extremely important when you are
a busy teacher.
2) Kindergarten Squared

This blog outlines two kindergarten
teachers adventures in their classroom and includes a wide variety of
materials, posts, ideas and just an overall fun blog to spend time on.
It includes a variety of activities for many different themes that can
be used in the classroom. It also includes a wide variety of posters and
such to purchase to use in your classroom. It also outlines the design
of their classroom and the materials they use in the classroom. This is a
fun blog with a combination of teacher ideas, recommendations,
strategies and activities to use in the classroom. This would be helpful
to any teacher looking for ideas on what to use in the classroom to
help their children get more excited about learning.
3) Prekinders

This website and blog is perfect for
the preschool teacher. It outlines a variety of activities to use in
the classroom with preschool children. It also includes a variety of
activities about how to organize and arrange a preschool classroom that
is fun for the children and effective to teach in. It gives a variety of
ideas on what to do with centers, what activities to include in them
and ways to use things that aren't typically used like broken parts.
This is helpful for any teacher in giving creative ideas to use with
preschool children in a busy classroom.
4) 2 Care 2 Teach 4 Kids

This website is also by a preschool teacher and is used in
combination with a website that she had created that has a variety of
resources for the preschool teacher. It includes posts about the set up
of the classroom, what is helpful to put in the centers as well as ways
to generally organize the classroom. In addition to classroom
arrangement and structure, it includes many activities that teachers can
use in their classroom that are easy to prepare and fun for the
children. It also includes a fun way to transition children from
activities and offers advice for the teacher in using a variety of
methods. This site is perfect for teachers who are looking to get ideas
or help in designing a classroom and a place to order materials for
their classroom.
These websites are extremely helpful for any teacher and are fun to browse through and get ideas from.
